He graduated from Wayne State University in 2018, receiving his Bachelor's degree in business. He currently was working for Nicola Can Do It LLC, specializing in Home Improvement/ Remodeling. Kirk loved living in Florida where he could paddleboard, play golf, wakeboard, boat with friends, and explore new places. He loved to dance, play games and be with his family and friends.
Kirk is survived by his father James M. and Amy Nicola; his brother, James R. Nicola; his sister, Angela A. Nicola; stepsister, Lucia K. Drean all of Bonita Springs, FL; stepbrother, Alec E. Drean of Chicago, IL; his maternal grandfather, Bob Thomson of Southfield, MI and his beloved girlfriend, Paige E. Johnson of Bonita Springs, FL. He is also survived by his 6 aunts and uncles, Michele Kraska (Robert) of Livonia, MI, Dianne Ambrose (David) of Bonita Springs, FL, Kirk Nicola (Laurel) of Farmington, MI, Nancy Erlemann (Chris) of Merritt Island, FL, Suzanne Spiess (David) of Waterford, MI and Scott Thomson (Andrea) of Mt. Juliette, TN.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home 28300 S. Tamiami Tr., Bonita Springs, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kirk may be made to Savethemanatee.org/donate

To Jim Nicola and family. So very sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I feel your pain. I lost a son (Kevin 36 y.o) in 2019. Hardly a day goes by we don't think of him. Please know that we are thinking of and praying for you here at St. Valentine. May God be with you and your family in your hour of need.
