Kraig Regan Withers, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away peacefully at his home in Coweta, OK, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on February 4, 1957, in Coweta, OK to Dan Wilbur and Velma LaFern (Stone) Withers Wood. Kraig's life was a testament to his dedication to his family, his work, and his community.
Kraig's journey began as a young boy in Coweta, where he attended Coweta Public Schools. On December 13, 1975, Kraig married the love of his life, Rhonda Jean Harris. Their love story was one for the ages, having begun in their childhood as boyfriend and girlfriend from the 2nd and 3rd grades. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising a family.
Professionally, Kraig was known for his strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. He started his career in construction as a trim carpenter, later moving on to framing. His passion for building led him to establish Kraco Construction Company. Eventually, he and Rhonda co-owned and operated Withco Construction Company and Withco Properties. In addition to his construction endeavors, Kraig was the proud owner of Diamond R Cattle Company.
Kraig's interests extended beyond his professional life. He was an avid team roper, a hobby that reflected his competitive spirit and camaraderie with fellow ropers. Fishing and hunting were also among his favorite pastimes, allowing him to enjoy the great outdoors he so loved. Above all, Kraig cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren, whether it was working cattle on the farm or sharing life's simple pleasures.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Withers of the home in Coweta, OK; his children, Keith Withers, Kretia Withers-Bristol and husband Devin, and Lalo Carmona and wife Margarita, all of Coweta, OK; his mother, Velma Wood of Coweta, OK; his grandchildren, Kaitlynn Withers, Augustus Bristol, Kragen Bristol, Maria Sands, Lalito Carmona, and Salma Carmona; his brother, Kirk Withers of Coweta, OK; his sister, Kandi Withers of Coweta, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
Kraig was preceded in death by his father, Dan Wilbur Withers, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, JoAnn and Bob Harris.
Kraig will be remembered for his love of people, his willingness to help others, and the joy he brought to so many lives.
Services celebrating Kraig's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK, with Rev. Ed Rutherford officiating. The family welcomes all to attend the service. Kraig will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK.
