Kristin Marie Bomba of Bridgeport, Michigan
Beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She was 41 years old. Kristin Marie Bomba was born on June 1, 1981, in Saginaw, Michigan to Charles Joseph and Janice Elaine (Foley) Bomba. She was a proud 1999 graduate of Bridgeport High School. Following graduation, Kristin attended Lansing Community College and later Davenport University. The role of her lifetime was to be the most loving and devoted mother. She met the love of her life, Jason Clark, through a friend four years ago. Her little piece of heaven was being by the water or spending time with nature, especially fishing, camping, bonfire gatherings, and kayaking. Anyone that knew and cared about Kristin, knew she was gifted musically. Whether it was singing, playing piano, or the guitar, music was the melody of her soul. Kristin enjoyed golfing and being a part of the Burt Women’s Slow Pitch Softball League. She held a special place in her heart for cats; rescuing countless strays over the years and loving all of them unconditionally. She will forever be remembered as an extraordinary friend, for her kindness, compassion, and selflessness to anyone in need, and for giving the best and most loving hugs.
Surviving are two sons: Caleb Woodruff of Bridgeport; Trent Woodruff of Bridgeport; mother and father: Janice (Gaylon) Baker of Bridgeport; Charles (Theresa) Bomba of Birch Run; a sister, Erin (James) Sherer of New York, NY; two stepsisters: Amy Baker of Swartz Creek; Stephanie Turner of Birch Run; a stepbrother, Jacob (Angela) Baker of Maryland; nieces and nephews: Preston and Owen Sherer, Hope, Louis, and Isaac Lane, and Levi Baker. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, extended family, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Richard and Catherine Foley and Theodore and Gladys Bomba.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Ss. Francis & Clare, 12157 Church Street, Birch Run. Rev. Fr. Thomas McNamara will officiate.
