Kristin (Colby) Hetrick, 53, died unexpectedly on July 31, 2024, after being stricken ill at her home in Snellville, Georgia. Born and raised in Stoughton, daughter of Noreen (Bunn) Carroll of W. Bridgewater and Keith Colby of AZ, Kristin was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1989. She continued her education in Arizona where, in the summer of 1990, she met and dated her college sweetheart Scott Hetrick. After graduation, they went their separate ways, only to be reunited in the spring of 2016. They married in 2019. Kristin was a resident of Easton for many years while raising her daughters and worked as a Medical Secretary and Receptionist for Dr. Patel in Brockton and at other area medical offices. She moved to Snellville, Georgia eight years ago. Kristin loved her home in Georgia and the life she had built with Scott. An animal lover, she was constantly surrounded by her dogs, cats and chickens. She always kept busy, helping Scott with his business with billing and scheduling as well as crafting and sewing. When she was back in Massachusetts, she enjoyed watching old movies with her brother and Aunt Chris and filling the room with her infectious laughter. Her Sundays in Georgia were filled, surrounded by friends, guitar playing and music. Her friendship and love will be missed by many.
In addition to her husband Scott and her parents, Kristin is survived by her two beloved daughters, Kayla Zahri of GA and Nora Zahri of KY. She was the loving “Nana K” of Penelope and Madeline Tarallo of KY. She was the sister of Erik Romanowsky and his partner Sarah Capozzoli of Stoughton. Kristin is also survived by her aunts Christine Roxburgh and her partner Bud Kingsbury of W. Bridgewater and Gale Porter of Stoughton, her brother in law Aaron Hetrick of GA and many friends.
Funeral Services were held in Georgia. Donations in Kristin’s memory may be made to PAWS New England at www.pawsnewengland.com or the Neponset Valley Humane Society at www.neponsethumane.org
