Church Point, LA: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Church Point, LA for Mr. Kurt D. Broussard, 66, who passed away at 11:40 AM Wednesday, November 13 in Homer, LA. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of Our Lady Of The Sacred Heart Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass. Burial will take place in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35.
Kurt, a resident of Prairieville, LA, was the son of Mr. Edwin Broussard and the former Ethel Matte. His infectious laugh always made him the life of the party. He loved LSU athletics, cooking, crawfish boils and deer hunting. He was a loving son, brother and friend.
He is survived by his father, Edwin J. Broussard of Lawtell, LA; one brother, James A. Broussard and wife Rachel of Zachary, LA; his nieces, Summer Gunter and husband Carroll of Central, LA, Brandy Redditt and husband Cody of Clinton, LA and Raven Dunaway and fiancée Ben Wax of Watson, LA and his nephews, Christian Milano of Central, Nathan and Andrew Dunaway of Watson and Cameron Redditt of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Dwayne Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 19, from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass. A Rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 12:15 PM prior to leaving for the Funeral Mass at Church.
Personal condolences may be sent to the Broussard family at www.guidryfuneralhome.com. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
