Church Point, LA: Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Thomas A. "Tom" Thibodeaux, 85. Tom passed away peacefully at his home March 21 surrounded by his loving, devoted family. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of the Church, will conduct the Services with Entombment immediately following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Columbarium on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.
Tom proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Taylor, DDE. After an Honorable Discharge, he worked as a parts man, mechanic and finally retired after many years in the Oilfield. Well-known for his outspoken personality and "bigger-than-life" presence; he loved sharing stories of his many "Life Adventures", training horses and enjoying the company of his best buddy "Ranger"
Survivors include his loving "Bride" of 64 years, Maxine Thibodeaux; 4 daughters: Phyllis and Francis, Paula, Dona and Marty and Lisa and Jo; 6 grandchildren: Traci and Josh, Frances "Brud" and Tricia, Heather and Bralyn, Chelsea and Justin, Brad and Brook and Curtis; 18 great-grandkids, 2 great-great-grandkids and his brothers, Bob and Glen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anabelle and Carlton; his brothers, Kerny, Carol and John; his only sister, Barbara and his grandson, Trey Romero.
Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of Services. A Rosary will be recited at 1:15 PM by Glen Thibodeaux. Tom will be honored with a Flag Presentation with Honors at the time of Services. Pallbearers will be Brad Thibodeaux and Francis Bergeron III. Honorary pallbearer will be Trey Romero.
