Bennington - Kurt E. Kohlhagen, age 70, of Bennington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, (August 19, 2025) at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo.

Mr. Kohlhagen was born in Batavia and lived a life filled with passion, kindness, and dedication.

Kurt was the devoted son of the late Kenneth and Esther (Marks) Kohlhagen and brother to the late Mark Kohlhagen. He is survived by his cherished sons, Benjamin Kohlhagen and Kristopher Kohlhagen, both of Attica. Kurt adored his granddaughters, Avry and Kendyll, and treasured every moment spent with them. He also leaves behind a dear sister-in-law, Donna Kohlhagen of Attica.

A self-made man, Kurt was the proud sole proprietor of Kurt Kohlhagen Trucking. His love for the open road and the freedom it provided was unmatched. Beyond his career, Kurt had a passion for riding his motorcycle and never missed an opportunity to bask in the warmth of the sun. His love for aviation was apparent in his frequent visits to airshows at Geneseo, Batavia, and Niagara Falls.

Kurt will be remembered for his unwavering selflessness and the support he provided to his family and friends. He was always ready to lend a hand, never putting his own needs before those of others. His legacy of kindness will forever be cherished by those he leaves behind.

Honoring Kurt's wishes, no services will be planned. In honoring Kurt's life and spirit, the family requests donations be made to the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center at www.roswellpark.org.
