Kyle A. Barna, 26, of Medina, NY entered into rest unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Kyle was born in Norfolk, Virginia on June 28, 1996, a son of Cynthia Petkus-Barna and Karl R. Barna. He was a graduate of Medina High School class of 2014, where he proudly played football and lacrosse for the Medina Mustangs. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Sport's Management from Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio. With all his heart, he actively led the Storm's Lacrosse team to several successful seasons.
Kyle's contagious smile was known to brighten up any room. A kind and caring person, he was known to always stick up for the underdog. Kyle loved to have a good laugh. His often goofy and lovable personality are among many reasons why his family and all his friends loved him so dearly. From coast to coast his tender heart reached out to many, including his fury family, Olive, Stormy, Girlrella, and past pets. A beloved son, brother, and proud uncle, he will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother Cynthia Petkus-Barna of Medina; father, Karl R. Barna of Virginia; brother, Clay Thomas (fiancé, Julia Keppler) Barna; niece, Aurora Barna; Grandmother, Marilyn Barna; "Auntie", Suzanne Eaton; Uncles, Eric (Sherrie Almond) Barna, Jim (fiancé, Karen) Barna; Aunts, "Princess" Carla (John) Donavan and Donna Rae (Rick) McAdoo; cousins, Adam Eaton, Lindsay (Rich Rossow) Eaton and Morgan Eaton, Ann Marie Russell, Renee Straub, Andy Etsler, Danielle Fisher and MANY beloved friends. Kyle was predeceased by his Grams, Carolyn Petkus and his cousin, Jeremy Foster.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 3 from 11:00am-2:00pm at Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. A Celebration of Life gathering will immediately follow at the Knights of Columbus, 418 Main St., Medina.
