Kyle Anne Cunningham, 40, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 10, 1985, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of Rita Jo (Hawn) Wasielewski and the late David C. Cunningham. Kyle was a 2003 graduate of Edgewood Senior High School.
Kyle was a gifted artist who found joy and expression through painting, sketching, and sculpting. She also had a deep love of music and especially enjoyed listening to Tori Amos and Bob Dylan. The beach was one of her favorite places-she found peace and inspiration by the water, and cherished time spent there. A woman of quiet faith, Kyle followed her Catholic convictions and carried a spiritual strength throughout her life.
Her greatest love was for her family. She shared a special bond with her nieces and nephew, who adored her as a second mother. Kyle's warmth, creativity, and kind spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She is survived by her mother, Rita Jo (James) Wasielewski; her sister, Sarah Cunningham; her twin sister, Bridget (Chris) Fields; nieces and nephew, Sophia, Isadora, Everet, Eva, and Anja; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, David C. Cunningham; husband, Matthew Piglowski; step-father, Roger L. Hyde; and her grandparents, James and Mildred Cunningham, and Vivian and Charles Hawn.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Conneaut, with Deacon Nick Iarocci officiating. Friends and family may call from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Hamot for the loving and respectful care of Kyle.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to Maddox Cat Rescue, 723 Clark Street, Conneaut, Ohio.
