Kyong Ro Kim, 71, of Madeira, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023. Beloved husband of 40 years to Chong Yol Kim since July 13, 1983, married in Seoul, South Korea. Cherished father of Hyun Jung Kim, Jin Woo Kim and Sung Woo Kim. He was born October 19, 1951 to Yong Taek Kim and Chon Sun Chong. He is survived by his sisters Pok Yon "Jinny" (David) Deel, the late Pok Nam Kim, Nami Kim, Young Nam Kim(late Jae Wook Ha) and brother Chang Su Kim (Young Mi). Uncle to Cary Deel, Michael Deel, So Hee Kim, Ji Hae Beyer, Yong Woon Park, Jung Ah Ha, Rok Ho Ha and Jung Bin Ha. In law Jung Ran (Hae Gung) Lee, children Jiseon Lee and Woo Joo Lee. In law, No Woong (Jung Ok) Choi, children Joong Ho Choi and Ji Ho Choi. A host of other family members and friends are left to mourn his passing.
He was an avid golfer and foodie. Other hobbies included hiking and traveling back to Korea regularly. Came to the U.S. in 1982. In 1987, established the first Korean owned beauty supply business in Cincinnati. Served twice as the Cincinnati Korean Association President and served President for the Cincinnati Beauty Association.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at 4:00 pm at Kenwood Fellowship Church 7205 Kenwood Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45236 with Pastor Ho Kil Kang. Everyone is invited for fellowship and repast following the service. Thank you to Kenwood Fellowship Church (in particular Pastor Wayne Hunter and Jeri and Ethan Parker) and Pastor Ho Kil Kang.
