L. Steven Edge, 83, of Evansville, IN passed away on July 22, 2025 at his retirement home in Evansville, IN.
He was born July 29, 1941 in Lyon County, Kentucky on the Knight family farm to Charles E. and Learleen (Knight) Edge. He was raised on the farm in Albion, IL by Ben & Bertha Edge, his grandparents.
He started his career in plastics in 1961, working for General Electric. He spent over 40 years as a respected industry leader in sales & marketing, He ended his career as General Manager for Ferro Corporaton.
Steven was a staunch Republican! He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and table tennis, and loved spending time outdoors with his family. They took camping trips in the summer and vacationed in Florida and the Smoky Mountains. He loved cooking chowder in the fall. He enjoyed donating to different charities, supporting the military, Native Americans and the Republican National Convention, He was a proud supporter of the Second Amendment.
He is survived by a son, Brian (Linda) Edge; and a daughter, Teri (Tim) Peak; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren..
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Luana in 2015; a son, Bradley Steven Edge; and a step-sister, Sue Brakie.
Private services for L. Steven Edge will be held at a later date.
