Anne Dishman, age 87, died May 27, 2024 after a short illness. She was born February 2, 1937 in Ashland, Kentucky, the daughter of Anna Catherine Nalle Vaughan and Francis Milton Hatten. Anne was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Ashland High School and attended Centre College. She continued her education at the University of Louisville, obtaining a degree in Chemistry and graduated summa cum laude.Anne was a member of River Valley Club in Louisville and spent many happy summers at her home in Grandfather Mountain. She had many interests: travel, gardening, reading and her cherished Pekingese pets.Anne was preceded in death by her daughter, Annsley Frazier Thornton, her former husbands, Charlie Dishman and Owsley Frazier who was the father of her children.Survivors include her husband, Gary Miller, her daughters: Laura Frazier and Catherine Frazier Joy (Jim), eight grandchildren: Cordt Huneke, Chase Huneke, Kelli Huneke Van Hecke (Ragan) and Amelia Frazier Theobald, Christopher Joy, Alexander Joy, Charlie Joy (Leah), Caitlin Joy and three great grandchildren, her cousin, J. W. Rous, sister-in-law Jean Frazier and two nieces.There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 31, at Cave Hill Cemetery. Those wishing to attend, please meet at the Grinstead Drive entrance to Cave Hill at 9:45 a.m.Memorial gifts may be made in her name to the Kentucky Humane Society, 241 Steedly Drive, Louisville, KY 40214.Arrangements under the direction of Pearson's, "Where Louisville Goes to Remember."Read Obituary
