Lana Kay Turner

POWELL MOUNTAIN ROAD – Lana Kay Turner, age 67, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. She was born July 7, 1955, in McDowell County, WV, and was the daughter of the late Julius Bobby Daugherty and Laura Colley Daugherty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Danny Hatfield and wife Darlene, Bruce Daugherty, and Bobby Daugherty Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Fred Sorge of Rich Creek, VA; daughter, Laura Bailey (Wes) of Princeton, WV; sons, Bobby "Bo" Turner Jr. of CO, and Billy Turner of Princeton, WV; grandchildren, Christina Rathburn and Bobby Perdue, both of Princeton, WV; great grandchildren, Deana Bailey and Arabella Bailey, both of Princeton, WV; sisters, Gail Snider and Donna "Sue" Turner (Carl), all of Rich Creek, VA, Bonnie Daugherty of Iaeger, WV, and Betty Daugherty (Robbie) of Princeton, WV; brothers, Robert "Bug" Daugherty (Debra) of Rich Creek, VA, and Frankie, Eugene, and David Blankenbeckler of Giles County, VA; many special nieces and nephews; and best friends, Joy Atangan of CA, and Melody Cook of FL.
