Lance Latimer

Lance McDonald Latimer, passed away at home surrounded by his family on February 1, 2026, from complications related to Alzheimer's Disease and kidney failure. He was 75 years old. His parents were Angus McDonald and Berenice Vera Latimer.

He was a Michigan State alumni and a lifelong Spartan and Detroit sports fan. He worked at Chrysler as an electrical engineer for over 40 years before retirement. He was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, as is his son, Michael. He loved cats, golfing with friends and family, woodworking, as well as building model trains and airplanes.

Lance is survived by his loving wife, Angie, of 45 years, his loving children, Michael and Nicole, his sister, Patricia, and her husband, Tony, along with their children Elizabeth, Sarah and Lauren. He is also survived by his sister, Virginia, and her husband, John, and their daughter, Margaret.

He will be forever missed and loved.

A visitation will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors, 1368 N. Crooks Road, (between 14 & 15 Mile Road), in Clawson, Michigan, 48017, on Tuesday, February 3, from 4-7pm.

A Funeral Service will be given to honor Lance at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 4, at 10am. Friends may visit on Wednesday beginning at 9am.
