Lane Ray Langford, a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful follower of Christ, went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on July 31, 1964, in Uvalde, Texas, Lane lived a life marked by humility, grace, and unwavering faith. He was the beloved husband of Jennifer Langford, his partner in life and love. Together, they raised four children who were the joy of his heart: Brooks (and wife Lauren), Whitley, Tanner, and Cason. Lane walked closely with Jesus, and it showed. He was gentle, patient, forgiving, and kind. He loved without condition and served others without seeking recognition. Whether through a quiet act of service or a word spoken in grace, Lane reflected the heart of Christ in everyday moments. He led his family by example with calm assurance, steadfast love, and a quiet faith that never wavered. Some of his favorite moments were spent watching and talking about sports with his children and Jennifer. Whether they were gathered around a game on TV, debating plays, or sharing stats and stories, Lane found joy in those simple connections. It wasn’t just about the game; it was about being present, listening, laughing, and creating memories that will live on.
Lane is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his children, Brooks (and wife Lauren), Whitley, Tanner, and Cason; his mother, Marilyn Langford; his brother, H.T. Langford (and wife Julie); and his sister, Landa Langford. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. His legacy is one of quiet faith, strong love, and a life that pointed gently and clearly to Jesus. A service to celebrate Lane’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Church Unlimited in Rockport. "Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23
