Lane Oliver Ruckel, 53, of Galena, Missouri, passed away on June 15, 2024. Lane was born on August 17, 1970, in Bellville, Texas, to the late Cary Ruckel and Oleta Swolley.
Lane was a devoted husband to Jennifer, a loving father to Logan, Starla, and Leta, and a proud papa to his grandchildren Alex, Ollie, Wrenlee, and Grayson. He cherished his family deeply, including his mother Oleta Swolley (Jim), stepmother Debbie Ruckel, and siblings Mary Paddock (Gary), Amy Swolley, Megan Swolley (Zen), and Cade Swolley. Lane also leaves behind 5 nephews and 2 nieces whom he adored.
In his career, Lane excelled as the owner-operator of J&L Services, had a successful tenure at Goods Lanscaping and was Foreman at Diversified Plastics. He took great pride in his work, his team, and was known as a supportive and effective boss.
Lane had a passion for woodworking, tinkering, and the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, swimming, and spending time with friends. His hobbies also included building projects and nurturing plants. Lane was a dedicated member of the Masonic and Shrine fraternity and found joy in their camaraderie.
A ceremony to honor Lane's life will be held on June 29, 2024, at 3 pm at Gate of the Temple Lodge in Springfield, MO. For those who wish to make a contribution, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital or the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Mosque Restoration Fund in Lane's memory.
Lane Oliver Ruckel will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
