I grew up with the Bates playing in the creek in our backyard. I would go to their house for Weblo Scout meetings. I remember that their dad made them go to the craw space after school and dig it out for a basement to use. I wondered if they ever finished it. I lost touch with them after I joined the Navy. I always wondered what the 3 boys were doing and where they lived. Sure wish I had ran into them again. Sorry for your loss.
