Larry Ray Bierman was born June 8, 1937, in Centralia, Illinois the third of four children born to Omer Gilbert and Helen Bierman. Larry married his love of 66 Years, Nancy, in 1959 after joining the United States Air Force. Serving in the Air Force brought him to Florida and saw the birth of his two sons, Rocky Ray and Tracy Alan. On leaving the Air Force, the family decided to stay in Florida on the east coast and begin work in the space industry. He worked on many groundbreaking projects including the Apollo program and Space Shuttle program.

On January 4, Larry passed from this world to meet his savior in the next. He was a true patriarch to the family, a patriot to his country, and a servant of God. He loved adventures, puzzles, building all things mechanical, and flying in anything with a propeller. He was known for his master craftsmanship with electrical systems. Most of all he loved his family fiercely. He treated each of us as his favorite- because each of us were in our own way. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, his son Rocky (Carolyn), son Tracy (Kaley), sister Bonnie Walker, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Mims, where he was a member for over sixty years. Service will be Sunday, January 11 at 4:00pm. A time of visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. Larry will be laid to rest in the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in a private family ceremony.
