Larry Dean Bock, 73, of
Kearney, MO, peacefully passed on to heaven on December 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was raised in
Denver, Iowa to Wilbert and Violet (Fasse) Bock on April 13, 1952. He was baptized on May 2,1952 at St. Johns in Maxfield, Iowa and confirmed on April 3, 1966, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in
Denver, Iowa.
Larry grew up on a farm where he learned the values of hard work, faith, and family. Larry's early years on the farm shaped a life of humility, resilience, and a deep love for the simple joys of the outdoors which continued into adulthood with fishing and hunting.
Larry spent his early years as a young man serving our country in the Army (1970 to 1973). His service was later transferred to the Air Force (1973 to 1976), and his loyalty to his country lasted his lifetime. His lifelong career as a plumber brought a personable and knowledgeable service to his clients and friends. As his granddaughter stated, "He didn't know a stranger."
Larry's faith was a steady beacon, guiding his days and providing strength to those around him. He was an elder at St. Stephen Lutheran church and cherished his time serving our Lord. His strong faith in God inspired others and brought them closer to Christ. Larry also carried a great sense of humor throughout his life, a gift that brought light to many rooms and moments. Whether it was making memories with family and friends on the lake, fishing in Minnesota with his wife and grandkids, or spending time with church family, these moments defined Larry's character and care for others.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Robin Bock; his children, Tina (Tim) Mischlich, Jeff (Lori) O'Neal, and Josh (Devon) O'Neal; his seven cherished grandchildren, Kaylea (Jonnie), Emily (Lincoln), Alli, Nic, Kris, Clayton, and Audrey and soon to become a great-grandfather to Zachariah, a blessing he looked forward to with excitement and love. His siblings include Mary (Ron) Dunlap and Sharon McElroy, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved so dearly.
Larry's humor, devotion to family, and unwavering faith will be forever cherished by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and a life lived with purpose. "Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord." Psalms 130:1
