Larry Wayne Decker, 78, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on November 27, 2022 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on December 31, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky son of Frank Decker and Marie (Kelly) Decker. Larry retired from Colgate Company after many years of dedicated service as an electrician and mechanic. He later in life was the building commissioner of Jeffersonville and Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus along with coaching football at Sacred Heart and Teacher at Ivy Tech College. Larry was a member of St Augustine Catholic Church and enjoyed golfing, poker nights with his friends, traveling, dancing with his wife and was an avid UK fan and loved watching them with his brother.
In addition to his parents Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Decker Jr., two daughters, Monica Hawkins and Pamela Becker. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty Decker; daughters, Rebecca Bower(Mike), Angela Cope; sister, Vera Seawright; son-in-law, Kenny Hawkins; 8 grandchildren, Randal Hawkins Sr.(Jessica), Angela Hawkins, Kevin Hawkins(Ryan), Mercedes Jones, Joshua Schweitzer, Zach Henry, Catherine Schultz(Jordan), Ashley Stults; 8 great grandchildren, Felicity Wright(Brendon), Randal Hawkins Jr., Blake Miller, Xander Hawkins Colin Hawkins, Conor Hawkins, Natalie Adams, Grayson Schultz; and 1 great-great grandchild, Bentley Adams.
There will be a memorial visitation held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130 from 2-4pm with service to follow at 4pm
