Larry Norwood Dunbar, 70, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on August 16, 2025, in Roanoke. He was born on July 12, 1955, in Roanoke, Virginia.

Larry worked as a roofer for more than 40 years, proudly running his own business. Outside of work, he enjoyed playing darts and sharing his love of music as a DJ. Known for his hardworking spirit and fun-loving personality, Larry was deeply devoted to his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Dunbar; siblings, Lynn Dunbar, Kenneth Dunbar, and Gloria Dunbar; and three great-grandchildren, David Jr., Layloni, and Braelyn Stacy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Ruby Dunbar; his wife of 50 years, Cynthia Dunbar; his children, Vickie Trent (Charles), Larry Dunbar Jr. (Kristy), Allen Dunbar, Bobby Joe Dunbar, Angie Dunbar (Pat Evans), Crystal Dunbar, Dorothy Ratliff, Derek Ratliff, Melinda Ratliff, and Tionna Ratliff; his grandchildren, C.J., Amber, Jenna, Brett, Zachary, Bradley, Kelsey, Zyah, Bobby Lee, Kayla, Breanne, Aiden, Laila, Elum, Lil Man, Chasity, Candita, Brandon, Blaze, Devin, Mya, Davion, Cameron, Kayloni, Leira, Josiah, Alianna, and Lillian; his siblings, Glenda Waller (Ronnie), Gale Dooley (James), Marilyn Strong, Wendell Dunbar, Hank Dunbar, and Carl Dunbar; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
