Larry and I met as entering students at UK in 1956. We hit it off immediately! He was a true, genuine friend, a friend one doesn't forget over the years even though I left UK and Larry after a year and a half, as I was floundering in what I wanted to do in my life. Larry was kind, humble, supportive, the kind of true friend that is hard to come by. I left UK but never left Larry's friendship in my mind. We play a lot of ping pong, with neither of us wanting to defeat the other. We just wanted to keep the ball in play! I've thought of Larry may times over the years, always with great appreciation for the wonderful human being that I knew. A few days ago I decided to do one more search online for Larry. Sadly, and I mean sadly, I found Larry through his obituary. I can truly say that Larry left the World a better place because of who he was. I've read of his accomplishments academically, and professionally, and most importantly as a good family man. I will never forget Larry, the kind, humble, smart, supportive friend that he was for that short period in our lives. My most sincere condolences to his wife, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I know he is with our Heavenly Father in Heaven. What a wonderful human being! I was truly blessed to know Larry. Go bless all of you. George Yount
