Mr. Larry Ray Etherton, 83, of St. Charles, MO, passed away on October 26, 2024. He was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, June 19, 1941, the child of Claude and Ova (Grammar) Etherton. After attending the local schools, he enlisted in the United States Army, July 14, 1966. Proudly serving his country for 2 years. December 27, 1969, he married the love of his life, Donna Dysart, and the rest is history. Larry obtained his Bachelor's Degree from S.I.U. Carbondale and began working at Boeing. He enjoyed his job as a supervisor and the many responsibilities it brought. Larry gave 110% and was an extremely hard worker. He and Donna were blessed with 2 children, a son, Bobby and daughter, Heather. When he was not working, he could be found with his family. In later years, Larry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a dedicated christian and his faith was very important to him. Larry will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Etherton, of St. Charles, his children: Bobby Etherton and his wife, Denise of Tampa, FL, and daughter, Heather Torminio and her husband, Phil, of Troy, his grandchildren: Alli, Cody, Mason, Jolie, Maggie, Brody and Bryce, his sister-in-law, Nancy Haberstroh of Dardenne Prairie, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone Street, Troy, MO, 63379, 636-528-8244.
A memorial service is also scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, 2024, 5:00 p.m., at the funeral home in Troy. Rev. Richie Rhea to officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the family c/o the funeral home. Friends and family are invited to visit our website at mccoyblossomfh. to sign the on-line guest register.
