Larry Fields, 69, of Columbus, passed from this life at 4:42 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2025 at his home surrounded by family.
Larry was born February 14, 1955, in Shelbyville, Indiana, the son of Mandy Chandler. On October 11, 1985, he married Elizabeth K. Hagan.
Mr. Fields worked at Stone Container for many years before retiring. He also constructed basements for John Henning Precision Basements and delivered auto parts for Advanced Auto Parts Store in Seymour. He was a NASCAR fan and raced stock cars in his younger years. Larry found peace and enjoyment being in the outdoors. It didn't matter if it was bird watching, hunting or fishing, he loved nature and the serenity it provided. He will be deeply missed by those that know and love him.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; children, Jessica (Jimmy) Bay of Bloomington, Kimberly Stevens of Brownstown, Kiowa (Lindsey) Chaplin of Columbus, Amanda (Mitch) Couch of Bedford; sons-in-law, Ronald Stevens, Larry Perry; fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother; daughter, Michelle Perry; brother, James Fields and sister, Dana.
