Mr. Larry E. "Hawk" Hawkins, age 71, passed away on August 13, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. May he rest in peace.
Larry was born on Feb. 5, 1954, in Owosso, Michigan. He worked for 38 years for Ring Screw and Acument Global as a toolmaker machinist before his retirement. While working fulltime, Hawk also served his community as an EMT and firefighter with the Clio Fire Dept. Above all, he deeply loved his family and was a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Gather Event Center (340 S. Main St, Vassar, MI 48768) from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
Memorial donations may be directed to the City of Vassar Fire Dept.
