Larry B. Hertzog

Larry B. Hertzog, 76, of Fellowship Community and formerly of Upper Macungie Twp., passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, in his home. He was the husband of Gail E. (Wood) Hertzog. They were high school sweethearts and celebrated many years of marriage. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Warren R. and Betty M. (Kingcaid) Hertzog. Larry was a graduate of Parkland HS, class of 1965, received his bachelor's degree from Penn State and also had an MBA. Larry was a Captain with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a business manager with ALPO Pet Foods for many years before retiring. He also worked at Deep Run Packing, Leidy's Processing and Cast Pac, Allentown. Larry was a member of Jordan UCC, Allentown. He was a former member of Brookside Country Club, participated in Knights of Columbus Golf League and was an avid golfer and PSU football fan.
Survivors: Wife, Gail; Son: Christopher Hertzog of Allentown; Daughter: Michele Loomis and her husband Matthew of Coplay; Grandchildren: Noah, Hanna, Luke, Joshua; Sisters: Barbara A. Buehler and her husband Richard, Janice M. Lewis and her husband Colin. Larry was predeceased by his stepbrothers Robert Hertzog and William Hertzog.
Services: 10:30 am Saturday, Jordan UCC, 1837 Church Road, Allentown 18104. A visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 am Saturday in the church. Arrangements by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. .
