Larry D. Hunt, 66, of Logansport, passed away on Sunday, October 12th, 2025, at his home.
Born November 10, 1958, in Logansport, he was the son of Arthur Hunt and Eunice (Rex) Carter. He was a 1977 graduate of Winamac High School.
For 36 years, Larry worked as an attendant at Logansport State Hospital. He retired in 2015, remembered by coworkers as someone who always gave his best. Outside of work, he was a proud member of the Church of Christ at Logansport, where he found fellowship, worship, and lifelong friendships.
An avid Dallas Cowboys and Indiana University basketball fan, Larry also cherished time with his family and friends.
Larry married Pamela Davis on April 2, 2010, and together they shared years of companionship before her passing in 2018. On May 11, 2024, he was blessed to marry Cathy J. (Gaumer) Taylor, who survives.
Also surviving are his brother, Dennis Hunt of Walton; sister, Marsha (Garry) Fitz of Winamac; three nieces, Cindy (Joel) Christensen of Montana, Lisa (Mark) Borst of Schererville, and Angie Hunt of Carmel; stepdaughter, Candace E. (Glen) McCracken of West Lafayette; step-grandsons, Richard McCracken of West Lafayette and Garrett McCracken of Portland, Oregon; along with many beloved great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela L. Hunt; his parents; and his brother, Bruce Hunt.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday October 18, 2025, at the Church of Christ at Logansport with Pastor Jeff Strite officiating. A private burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery, Logansport, beside his late wife, Pam.
A memorial gathering will also be held from 10:00 am until time of services on Saturday at the Church of Christ at Logansport
Larry will be remembered as a man who worked hard and loved deeply.
