Larry Wayne Ivey was born November 18th, 1956, in Nashville, TN, to Elmer ‘Popcorn’ Ivey and Dorothy Marie Ivey. A welder by trade, Larry was known to work multiple jobs to help provide for his family. After his retirement, two years ago, Larry was able to do what he loved, spending time with family, friends, and his best doggie buddy Gracie. His hobbies included caring for his chickens and ducks, fishing, hunting, and beating his sons-in-law at corn hole.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer ‘Popcorn' Ivey and Dorothy Marie Ivey; brother, Charles Ivey; and sister, Francis Clifford.
He is survived by his four children, Billy (Corie) Dizol, Tracy (Daniel) Nicholson, Elisa (Scott) Brinkley, and Pamela Thompson; as well as, his 10 grandchildren, Nevan, Kailey, Kaydence, Taylor, Ethan, Reagan, Emma, Chase, Karlee, and Reese. He is also survived by his wife of 35 years Jennifer Madewell (divorced).
Funeral Services will be held at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens located at 9090 TN-100, Nashville, TN 37221. Visitation held on Sunday October 13th from 2 to 6 and Monday October 14th from 12:30 to 1:30 with the funeral and burial service to follow.
