Mr. Larry Gordon Jackson, age 73, of Pinnacle, NC, formal native of Tampa, Florida, passed away at his residence on Wednesday night, August 13, 2025. He was born in Hillsborough County, Florida on October 31, 1951, to the late Carl Noble and Evelyn Louise Hall Jackson. He transplanted to the Blue Ridge Mountains, where he grew to call Patrick County, VA home. Larry resided the last 4 years in Pinnacle, with his wife, Tina Jackson of 42 years. Larry had recently been diagnosed with ALS and bravely fought the illness. He will be remembered that even throughout that final challenge on earth, Larry kept his faith, sense of humor and never lost his zest for life. He inspired so many others through his faith. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Tina Jackson of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel “Bo” Jackson and Stephanie, John Paul “JP” and Winslow Jackson, Joshua Jackson and Morgan; grandchildren, Austin Brazier, Abby Jackson, Lauren Harris, Trey Harris, Oliver Jackson, Emmett Jackson; granddog, Loki; great-grandchildren, Cayde Brazier, Levi Brazier, Lilly and Blake Harris; brother, David “Dave” Jackson; niece, Brianna Jackson; nephews, David and Jake Jackson, Danny Shafer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his children, Robert and Jeremiah Jackson, one unnamed; numerous extended family and friends. We will remember Larry fondly as a man who loved his family. The only thing that was close behind family was his love for the Florida State Seminoles, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Larry accepted the Lord as his savior in 1984. He loved the Lord and knew his faith would end in sight. We hold onto the faith that we will see him again soon. A celebration of Mr. Jackson’s life will be held Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 2:00 PM until time of the service. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Jackson family.
