February 12, 1940 – December 2, 2024
Larry was born February 12, 1940 in Canton, OH to the late William "Andy" & Elizabeth Victoria (Klimcyzk) Morrison. Having been preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Marie (Morrison) Callonea and his wife, Barbara A. (Miller) Morrison.
Survived by children, Stephen A. (Kristina) Morrison and Nancy A. (Morrison) Dean; siblings: brother, Dwight (Darlene) Morrison; sister Lindred Morrison, sister Barbara (Dennis) Matthews, brother Daryl (Phyllis) Morrison, sister Vicky (Richard) Grella, and sister Laurie (Jerome) Pinney; granddaughter, Kaia Anne Dean; great-grandchildren, Mildred Morgan, Bryce Morgan, Chad Franklin-Buckey, Helianna Franklin-Buckey, and Dean Franklin-Buckey.
Larry went to Alaska at the age of 19 and worked on the pipeline in 1959. Returning to Ohio, he worked landscaping jobs in the summer while attending college. He served two years in the Army stationed at Fort Monmouth NJ. He worked at Goodyear and Diebold as an electrical/mechanical design engineer. After a divorce, Larry traveled across the United States with his three children and relocated to California in January 1977. Larry continued in the design engineer field his entire career, retiring from Lawrence Livermore National Lab in December 1999. His love of travel took him to Hawaii, Caribbean, China, Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, and Peru.
Per Larry's request, no public service will be held. Plans are that he be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH at a later date.
