Larry Dwayne Murry - age 70 of Kidder, MO, passed away Friday evening, May 2, 2025, in Kidder. Larry was born on February 4, 1955, the son of Adelbert Oscar and Myrtle Louise (Wilson) Murry in Kansas City, MO. He was a graduate of Penney High School in Hamilton, MO, and attended carpentry school in Chillicothe. Larry was a building official for the City of Excelsior Springs. He married Linda Wilson on September 18th, 1982, in North Kansas City, Missouri. They recently moved from Excelsior Springs back to their farm north of Kidder. Larry was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church in Excelsior Springs and had recently been attending the First Christian Church in Cameron. He was a hard working family man, dedicated to his kids and grandkids. He loved animals; particularly horses and cattle. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rita Irene Freer. He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; children: Laura Joe Woodland (Dan) of UT, Logan Dwayne Murry (Mary) of AR, Douglas Charles Sloan (Penny) of Rayville, MO, Michelle Janine Montgomery (Martin) of Kidder, MO, and Gregory Edward Hilliar (Angie) of Excelsior Springs, MO; twenty-two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Bill Murry (Rose) of Winthrop Harbor, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Centenary Cemetery in care of the funeral home. A service celebrating Larry's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Centenary Cemetery, east of Gallatin.
