Larry T. Nicholson, 86, died Friday, June 9, 2023, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born January 4, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of W. T. and Helen Larned Nicholson. He worked as a General Forman for Pillsbury Corporation in New Albany, Indiana.Larry attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lanesville and was a boy scout, earning the Honor of the Arrow. He was an avid gardener, a sports fan, loved old cars and was a great family man. He was survived by his wife Ruth Ann Schellenberger Nicholson; 1 son: Ron Nicholson of Georgetown, IN; 2 daughters: Terri Ragland (Larry) of Georgetown and Amy Tapia (Arturo) of Meeker, CO; 1 brother: Bill Nicholson (Kathy) of Lavallette, NJ; 6 grandchildren: Julia Nicholson, Andrew Ragland (Megan), Jenna Hinkle (Ben), Lindsey Brown (Dominique), Aidan and Ashton Tapia; 9 great grandchildren: Presley, Carson, Jackson, Brynlee, Max, Demi, Sophie, Mila, D.J.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, IN. Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lanesville, IN with pallbearers being Andrew Ragland, Dominique Brown, Ben Hinkle, Stephen Nicholson, Mike and Mark Schellenberger. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12- 8 PM and Thursday from 9-11 AM at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org or by mail: P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
