Larry Schraufnagel, 83, of Lomira, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Hope Rehabilitation in Lomira, with his son at his side.
Larry was born on August 19, 1941, in Fond du Lac, the son of the late Jack and Edna (nee Oechsner) Schraufnagel. After his father, Jack purchased a farm implement business in Lomira in 1951, Larry came to work for him and eventually became an owner along with his brothers and brother-in-law. He then proudly sold his shares to his son, Tony, who continues to run it today. Larry was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Lomira Lions, and served as President of the Midwest Dealers Association and was a Dodge County Supervisor.
Those Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Judy (nee Luedtke) Schraufnagel; three children, Tony (Maria) Schraufnagel, Tami (Lee) Wondra, Tab (Sue) Schwartz; his grandchildren, Reagan, Hayden, and Tessa Schraufnagel, Nathan Wondra, Casey (Alyssa), Ryan, and Catie Schwartz; his great-grandchildren, Hadlee, Finley, and Lynora; his siblings, Bob (Mary Lynn) Schraufnagel, Jan (Lynette) Schraufnagel, Dale (Laurie) Schraufnagel, and Ann (Rick) Welak; a sister-in-law, Jean Krueger.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Mary Schraufnagel; his mother and father-in-law, Elda and Fred Luedtke; sister-in-law, Jane (Gordy) Klein; two brothers-in-law, Karl Krueger and Jimmy (Geni) Luedtke; a granddaughter, Casey Lynn Schwartz; great-grandchildren, Octavius and Earl Schwartz.
A private family service for Larry will be held at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank Hope Health and Rehabilitation in Lomira, SSM Hospice, Marysue Michels, Rev. Mulongo Mpoyo, Betty Menzer, and Father Nathaniel Miniatt for their care and comfort in his final months.
