Larry Whitehead Obituary
He was born on September 30, 1948 in Jefferson County, KY, the son of the late Estill and Ella Lindsey Whitehead.
He worked in shipping and receiving and enjoyed collecting baseball cards and comic books, NASCAR and watching University of Louisville sports. He attended the Little Flock Baptist Church in Louisville.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Reece Whitehead; two sons, Larry Whitehead Jr. of Louisville & Matt Whitehead (Kristen) of Cave City, KY; four grandchildren, Kaden Fox, Brooke Whitehead, Alexsis Koehler & Ashlyn Whitehead and two great-grandchildren, Kingston and Arianna. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Neal Whitehead.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. CST Tuesday, (August 12, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. CST Tuesday until time of services.
