Laura Glazener Alexander

Laura Glazener Alexander, 91, devoted wife of the late Harold Alexander, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Florence Denton Glazener, Sr.
Laura was a proud graduate of Parker High School and was very involved in making sure the Parker legacy continued in the community along with many of her classmates. Regularly, they met at Tommy's Ham House to plan reunions with all Parker High alums.
She attended Winthrop University before starting her career as an actuary with Liberty Life where she retired with over 40 years of service. She was a dedicated member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church.
Her memory will forever be cherished in the heart of her sister, Mildred "Mickey" Drew; niece, Pat Smith and husband, Paul, and her nephew, Roy Edward Caskey, Jr.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Maxine Lee Alexander; brothers, Robert B Glazner, Jr. and Larry Glazner; niece, Margaret Ann Caskey; and her brother-in-law, Raymond Drew.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown Chapel with visitation to follow until 3:30 p.m. A private burial will be held in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
