Laura L. Lee (Bennett)
Born August 24, 1966, transitioned peacefully on January 7, 2025. Laura was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Lee Sr., her dear Papa and Grandmother, Daniel & Betty Singleton, and her father, James Bennett.
Laura, a radiant soul born in Akron, Ohio, was the cherished daughter of Patricia Bennett and the late James Bennett. She will forever be remembered as a mother of pure heart, deeply devoted to her family and children.
Laura possessed an unwavering generosity, always willing to give her last for those she loved. Her genuine kindness, caring spirit, and overflowing love touched the lives of all who knew her. A truly beautiful soul, Laura cherished the simple joys of life, finding happiness in the smallest of moments.
Lunch dates with her children, mother, and sisters, even if it was just for ice cream, brought her immense joy. She loved to sing and dance, her spirit soaring with the rhythm of music. Car rides with the windows down, filled with laughter and smiles, were her way of spreading love and light to those she cherished. Spending time with her grandchildren was a source of immense delight, but her greatest joy was simply being surrounded by her children.
Laura is survived by her loving mother, Patricia Bennett; her devoted sisters, Mary Schenault (Steve), Kaykay Harkless (Terry), and Lisa Bennett; her cherished children, Adrina Surles (Jewan) and John Lee Jr. (Jennifer); her beloved grandchildren, Janiya, Andrew, Arihana, Jesiah, Oceana, Johnny, Josiah, Jeremiah, and baby Faith; as well as her nieces and nephews, Steven, Austin, Brandy, Brittany, and Matthew; her great nieces and nephews, Scarlette, Barrett, Beckett, Gavin, Hudson, and countless other family members and friends.
While our hearts ache with the profound loss of our beloved Laura, we find solace in knowing she is now in the loving embrace of the Lord she cherished so deeply. Her unwavering faith, radiant and pure as a child's, was a beacon of strength. Her fervent prayers could move mountains, and her love for Jesus touched the lives of all around her.
We know she is now singing joyfully with the angels in eternal praise, free from pain and enveloped in His perfect peace. Though her absence leaves an emptiness in our hearts, we cling to the hope she so fiercely believed in – that this is not goodbye, but a temporary farewell until we meet again.
Your kindness, prayers, and love mean the world to us during this difficult time. We find comfort in knowing that Laura's legacy of faith and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Thank you for being a part of her beautiful story and for helping us honor her memory in a way that reflects her extraordinary spirit.
With love and gratitude,
In Loving Memory of Our Beloved
Laura Lee
