Laura M. Boyden (Taylor) passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA after a very brief illness. She was born January 3, 1933 in Biddeford, Me to Lawrence and Mildred Taylor, and was the fifth of eight children. Laura graduated from Kennebunk High School and went on to obtain a B.A. with a major in French from Bates College in Lewiston, ME, where she met her future husband, Lincoln Boyden.

Laura worked in customer service with New England Tel in Portland, and later worked with a phone company in Biddeford during her husband's basic training. During Lincoln's first posting in Far Rockaway, NY, she worked for New York Tel & Tel. After her children were grown, she worked in Purchasing at Haartz-Mason.

She and Lincoln were blessed with two children, Jeffrey and Jennifer. They were long-time residents of Winchester, MA.

Laura is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Joann) in North Billerica, three grand-children, and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Lincoln, and daughter, Jennifer. She was also predeceased by siblings Gerald, Mary, June, Frederick, and Barbara. She is survived by her sister, Betty Hannon, Waltham, MA, and her sister, Carol (Jim) Molyneaux of Portville, NY. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and over the years was a mentor and mother figure to many.

Laura was an avid reader, gardener, animal lover, and life-long learner. In her 80's she embraced computers and cell phones and spent much time using her devices to learn languages, listen to the Bible and audibles, and to keep in touch with her church family and friends.

Visitation will be at 10 am Thursday, August 28, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Belmont, MA, followed by the funeral service at 11 am. Burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 54 Brighton Street, Belmont, MA.
