Raymond Boyden was born on September 29, 1943, in Goodrich, Michigan, the son of the late Raymond and Ruth (Hopkins) Boyden. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1961 to 1964. Following his service, Ray attended the University of Michigan and remained a passionate Wolverines fan throughout his life. On September 8, 1973, Ray married the love of his life, Karen Scott, in Davison, Michigan. He worked as a dedicated pipefitter for Buick, retiring in 1993. In addition to his work at Buick, Ray shared his knowledge by teaching drafting, hydraulics, and pneumatics at Mott Adult High School. Ray was a proud Mason and Shriner, always looking forward to participating in the Shrine Circus. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in fishing, camping, and hunting. But above all, his greatest joy was his family, who will forever cherish his memory and deeply mourn his loss.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Karen Boyden children, Ryan Boyden and Shannon Boyden; 4 grandchildren, Justice (Olivia) Sutcliffe, Tristan (Hailee) Sutcliffe, Aston Sutcliffe, Sophie Sutcliffe; 1 great-grandson, Maverick Sutcliffe; brother, Ron Boyden; special niece, Pam (Pup) Potter; many other loving family members and friends.
