TROY Laura E. Foy, 61, of 4th Ave. passed away suddenly at her home on Friday September 20, 2024. Death was attributed to natural causes. Born in Troy she was the daughter of the late William Foy Sr. and Joan E. Bartlett Foy. She was a 1977 graduate of Troy High School.
Laura was a retired Troy police officer and had served on the police force for 20 years. She was a member of the Troy Police Benevolent Association. She was an animal lover and was particularly fond of dogs.
She is the sister of Debra Rivet (Rick), Mary Ellen Foy (Karl) of Troy and the late William Foy Jr. She was the loving aunt of William Foy III (Kathleen) of Troy, Samantha Rivet, Julia and Peyton Foy and of several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her canine companions Casey and Ben.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
