Laura Grande Obituary
Laura J. Grande passed away on November 12, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jeanne Grande. Laura is survived by her husband, Patrick T. Kilduff of Quincy, and her son, Joseph, who were the center of her life.
Laura graduated from North Quincy High School and earned a Bachelor's degree from UMASS Boston. She worked as a research assistant at the Veterans Administration in West Roxbury before completing a Ph.D. in Neuropsychology at the University of Florida. She returned to the VA where she devoted her career to the health and wellbeing of veterans and eventually served as Director of Neuropsychology for the Department of Mental Health at the VA Boston Health Care System. In her role, Laura trained and mentored over 100 interns, post-docs and practicum students and was known for her humor, kindness, compassion, and intellect. Laura was a member of the American Psychology Association and made significant contributions to her field.
Outside of work, Laura enjoyed knitting, sewing, and quilting; she gifted numerous hand-crafted items to friends, family, and neighbors as well as to charitable causes such as Quincy Public Schools and Boston Medical Center.
Laura's greatest joy was being a mother to Joseph who carries forward Laura's sharp wit, curiosity, and intelligence.
Laura was a devoted sister to Valerie Grande and her wife Ann Noble of Dorchester and Audrey Joelle Baehrend and her husband Jeffrey of Dorchester. She was also a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews and cared deeply for her extended family and friends.
