Laura was born on November 19, 1977 to Tom and Nancy in Wilmington. After Laura graduated from A.I. duPont High School in 1995, she went on to graduate with a degree in Behavioral Science from Wilmington University.
She is survived by her identical twin and best friend Sandra (Ben) her parents, Nancy and Tom, sisters Maureen (Drew) and Emily (Erik), her nephew Luke and niece Erika, as well as all her aunts, uncles and cousins.
Laura worked at Kutz Senior Living where she was the Life Enrichment Coordinator. She was a caregiver with a loving heart and took the best care of her patients as well as everyone she knew and loved. She spent the three years since her diagnosis, living life to the fullest, fulfilling items on her bucket list with the help of family, friends, and her "Lady Gang." She enjoyed traveling, spending time at the beach, and spending time with those she loved. Aunt Lala loved being with her niece, nephew, and little cousins, and friends' children, always spoiling them. Her last wishes were that everyone she knew and loved would take care of themselves and one another.
Laura's Celebration of Life will be held on February 25 at Deerfield Golf Club in Newark. Visitation will be at 10am with the memorial service following at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure (http://www.info-komen.org/goto/LauraLudlam).

Family... Know that Laura was a great woman to work with. She fought hard in her battle with her sickness as evidenced by her coming to work after her treatments because she thought of her Residents. My heart is saddened but I believe she tried to live on as much as she could. Courage, strength, and determination will always be her Legacy! Love you Laura.....
