Laura Lee Martin, age 56, of Rose Bud, Arkansas, entered her Heavenly reward Friday, December 13, 2024 and was welcomed by her Loving Savior Jesus, her daddy Don Martin, grandparents Hall and Eula Martin, Wendall and Annie Mae (Henny), and her uncle Dale Martin.
Laura lived in Rose Bud her entire childhood until she graduated from Rose Bud High School in 1986. When she left for Conway to attend the University of Central Arkansas, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Biology. After this, Laura moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to attend Louisiana State University and earned her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Being a Rose Bud Girl, Laura moved back after graduation, and had a practice in Central Arkansas for over 30 years.
Aside from being a veterinarian, Laura was a Christian. She was a dedicated member of CrossRoads Cowboy Church in El Paso, Arkansas where she was involved in several ministries. From the beginning of her time at CrossRoads Cowboy Church, she served on the Welcoming and Parking Lot team, known as the Parking Lot Posse, she worked with the youth and children and was currently a part of the Cogins Team and worked with the Ranch Horse Team. Laura was also active in the Thursday Night Bible Study. She helped whoever needed it whenever they needed it. No matter the time of day or night, Laura was there. She was everyone's go to Veterinarian.
Laura was not just a blessing to her church and animal community; she was a blessing to everyone who knew her. She had a reputation for harassing the group of the "Liars Table" at Grumpy's where she ate breakfast.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother Wanda Martin of Rose Bud, Arkansas, her brother David Martin (Gayla) of Rose Bud, Arkansas, her sons Curtis Mobley (Melanie) of Texas, Spencer Mobley of Beebe, Arkansas, Derek Mobley (Kaitlyn) of Sheriden, Arkansas, her daughter Corrie Riddler (John-Austin) of Rose Bud, Arkansas, her grandchildren Turner Mobley, Kaydence Mobley, Kennedy Mobley, and Carson Mobley of Texas, Levi Mobley of Beebe, Arkansas, Ivory Mobley of Sheriden, Arkansas, Madisyn Kerly of Conway, Arkansas, and Brianna and John-Austin "Hammy" Riddler of Rose Bud, Arkansas, her nephew Isaiah Martin of Rose Bud, Arkansas, and her nieces Kylee and Serenity Martin of Rose Bud, Arkansas, her god-children Joseph "Obo" Havner, Adam Havner and Brandi-Lee Havner of Heber Springs, Arkansas, her foreign exchange student she felt as her own Peter Kim, as well as her other host of foreign exchange students and other family and friends, too numerous to list.

I just found out, I met Laura when she was in Vet School at LSU. She lived with my Morher her last semester. She visited me in Florida and Baton Rouge. We corresponded all these years. She was dear to me.

So sad to learn of her passing. She was a great friend and always helping me treat my animals so that I could save as many as I could without breaking the bank. I´ve known her for about 30 yrs, she will truly be missed.
