Born on April 18,1948 to Berline and Grace DiRocco in Ossining, NY, Laurel grew up surrounded by family and community values that remained with her throughout her life.
Laurel was a member of St. Columba Parish in Hopewell Junction, NY. A devout believer, she found immense strength and comfort in her faith.
Laurel worked for many years for the department of health and mental hygiene , which she took great pride in before her retirement.
Laurel was preceded in death by her beloved husband Thomas Conklin, and her dear sister Cheryl Timmons.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as a circle of friends and community members.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
