Laurice Smith, 94, a retired Manager for Jo-Ann Shop for 18 years, died May 31, 2025, at Walter B. Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville, MS. Visitation is Thursday, June 5, 2025, 1:00pm - 2:00pm at Clarksdale Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are 2:00pm Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Clarksdale Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include her sons John Wayne (Jeanne) Smith of Spring Hill, TN, Kendall Frazier (Judy) Smith of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter Denise Smith (Mike) Edwards of Clarksdale, MS; daughter-in-law Becky Smith of Olive Branch, MS; nine grandchildren Anthony Smith, Michael Smith, Jeff Smith, Amy Laurice Stanton, Todd Stanton, Rob Smith, Ben Smith, Joseph Smith, Jacob Smith; fourteen great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Kittrell Smith, Jr.; son Charles W. Smith; parents Ben & Minnie Martin Ingram; brother Jimmy Ingram; sister Mable Grace Fender.
