Laverne L. Lyons, 80, of Ravenna, OH, formerly of Windham, OH, went home to her Lord and Savior Tuesday, August 20, 2024. She was born April 13, 1944, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Frank and Lucille (nee Reidel) Klimczak.
She was a proud graduate of Crestwood High School. Laverne was a homemaker who liked cooking, and her family will forever miss her meatloaf. She had a love of Chinese Pugs, and has raised many. Laverne enjoyed spending time with her friends, and dearly loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Laverne will be deeply missed by her children, Mike (Karla) Veon and Michelle (Bill Smith) Dye; grandchildren, Tiffany, Cody, Sydney, Jade, Tori, Zayne, Billy, and Bryar; great grandchildren, Amira, Lainey, Bennett, and Theo; siblings, Lee, Helen, Ken, Lucy, and Billy, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John K. Lyons, and her brother, Rich Klimczak.
Please join the family for a graveside service Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Windham Twp. Cemetery, Windham-Parkman Rd., Windham, OH, 44288, where she will be lovingly laid to rest with her husband, John. Care for Laverne was entrusted to Mallory-DeHaven-Carlson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8382 Center St., Garrettsville, OH 44231.
