A native of Staten Island, New York, son of the late Dolores Ducette Baisden; he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran; a retired sales manager with Oscar Meyer and Stanley Vidmar Tools as well as a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Calhoun of Monroe, Georgia and Toni Hogan (Johnny) of Hartwell, Georgia; one sister, Philonese Baisden of Black Rock Canyon, Arizona; three grandchildren, Matt Hogan, Heather Avery and Mandy Chatham; seven great-grandchildren, Bethany Chatham, Zachary Chatham, Riley Hogan, Mackenzie Hogan, Cope Avery, Elliotte Avery and Isla Avery; and two great great-grandchildren Luke Lawrence Singler and Hudson Singler.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Philonese Alford and one son-in-law, Wilbur Calhoun.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 until 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at The Wood Mortuary prior to the graveside service.
