Booze Lawrence Scott Booze, age 69, of Macclenny, Florida passed away at his residence on August 19, 2022, from an extended illness. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio on July 6, 1953, to Lawrence Enlow Booze and the late Helen Elois Simmons Booze. Scott was raised in Jacksonville and graduated from Technical High School in 1971. He met his best friend and lifelong companion, Deborah Booze, while in school. They were happily married on July 1, 1972, and have enjoyed the past 50 years of blessed marriage. Scott had a long successful career in the concrete and construction industry and was the proud owner of Booze Brothers Construction. He was an active member of the local congregation of Jehovah s Witnesses and enjoyed volunteering his time to assist in the construction for places of worship for Jehovah s Witnesses all over Florida. Scott was loved, was a true treasure and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Elois Booze.
Scott left behind his loving wife of 50 years, Deborah Booze of Macclenny, FL; his father, Lawrence E. Booze of Jacksonville, FL; his brother, Randy (Teresa) Booze of Jacksonville, FL; his son, Matthew Booze of Macclenny, FL; his daughter, Jennifer (Nathan) King of Macclenny, FL; and his granddaughters, Shelby and Emily King.
A Memorial Service for Scott will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 1 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah s Witnesses, 8500 CR 139B, Glen St. Mary, FL 32040 with Mr. Kevin Rourke officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. TODD FERREIRA FUNERAL SERVICES, 250 North Lowder Street, Macclenny, FL 32063 (904) 259-5700.
