Lawrence Henry Jahner, 83, of Montgomery City, Missouri passed away at 11:10 am on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
Funeral mass will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montgomery City, Missouri on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 10am. There will be a luncheon following the mass at the Knight of Columbus Hall in Montgomery City.
Lawrence was born on November 30, 1940, in Hazelton, North Dakota; he was the son of Bertha (Humann) and Joseph Jahner. Larry was one of ten brothers. They started "Jahner Brothers Construction". They built huge cross-country powerlines. Larry was known as "the Bird Man of Montgomery City". He loved his purple martins and bluebirds. He enjoyed Walleye fishing with his wife Charlene and hunting with his children. He loved to go shooting, fishing, and gardening with his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was married to Darlene Jahner, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include, his loving wife, Charlene, together for forty-four years, they were snowbirds in Arizona through their golden years; sons, Kim Jahner, Jon Jahner (Stephenie), and his stepchildren, Debbie Schneider (Les), Michael Hunsucker, and Joell Webb (Sean) and former daughter-in-law Lisa Jahner; his brothers, Bob Jahner, Melvin Jahner, Kenny (Evie) Jahner, Wes (Judy) Jahner, Wayne Jahner, Donny (Pat Huber) Jahner, and Harvey (Nancy) Jahner. His legacy continues through his 25 cherished grandchildren and 3 beloved great-grandchildren.
Larry in addition to his first wife Darlene, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jim (Rosetta) Jahner, Leroy Jahner; and sisters-in-law Hilda Jahner, Karen Jahner and Kay Jahner.
