Lawrence "Bud" Lubert, 88 of Raccoon Twp. passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Rochester Manor. Born and raised in Raccoon Township, Bud was a son of the late Andrew and Anna Boron Lubert. His life was one of love and commitment, exemplified in his 66-year marriage to Barbara J. Figueiredo Lubert, whom he married on May 31, 1958, in Beaver.
Lawrence's work ethic and love for automobiles led him to a career as a mechanic at the former Wagner Chrysler Auto Dealership in Rochester. He had a passion for cars, not only working on them but also caring for and polishing them until they shined. He was an avid golfer, finding joy and camaraderie on the greens. His love for the game was matched by the pleasure he took in sitting on his porch. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball.
Bud honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the early 1960s, carrying the values of duty and honor throughout his life.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Anna Boron Lubert, and his siblings Joseph, William and Henry Fiejdasz, Frances Toman, and Helen Short. His legacy continues through his devoted wife, Barbara, and his sister-in-law, Sandra (Mike) Phipps. Sandra's children, Melissa Reinhardt (Lynn), Andrew (Gretchen) Phipps, and Jason Phipps.
His life was also touched by the kindness of his beloved neighbors and friends, including Janice Hodnicki, Mark (Rachel) Witterman, and Ruth Lee, who provided care and companionship throughout his final years. Bud's memory will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Private entombment will take place at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
