Lawrence Greer McMillan, age 92 of Franklin, TN passed away August 16, 2025. He was born in Williamson County, TN to the late O.C. and Emma Trice McMillan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and served in the National Guard Reserves upon discharge. Lawrence retired after 20 years of service from Aladdin Industries and upon retirement he went into the service station business and owned Spur Service Station businesses in Franklin and Nashville. In addition to this parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his loving wife of 71 years, Jane Thompson McMillan who passed away on February 6, 2025; his twin brother, Lewis McMillan and brother, Ross McMillan and great niece, Adelaide McMillan Schild. He is survived by his brother, Eugene (Robbie) McMillan nieces, Melanie (Tom) Schild, Melissa McMillan, Donna (Dennis) Sims and nephew, Tracey (Cathy) McMillan and other great nieces and nephews. Also survived by Jane’s loving family, brother in law, Dan (Margaret) Thompson, sister-in-law, Joyce Freeze, nieces and nephews, Pam (Tim Stawara) Stevens, Ruby Ann “Sissy” Newell, Barbara York, Misty Freeze, Tammy Freeze, Betty Sue (Joseph Irvin) Bennett, Joe Harrison (Tracy) Bennett, Donna (Mike) Vaughn, Tim (Terri) Thompson and several other great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, August 22, 2025 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Tracey McMillan, Joe Harrison Bennett, Joe York, Dakota Pendarvis, Triston Pendarvis, Jamie Newell and Sam Newell. Honorary pallbearers will be Eugene McMillan, Tom Schield, Shari Seaman, Roy Cockrell, Barry Foster, Tim Stawara, Dennis Pendarvis and Jason York. The family wants to thank their special caregivers for their love and care for Lawrence, Sissy Newell, Triston Pendarvis and Merline Brice. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Visitation with the family will be 4:00PM – 6:00 PM Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, (615) 794-2289 williamsonmemorial.com
